Over the last few years I have had the pleasure of working with a leather maker/designer in Oregon. These slips are perfect in every way. The leather is a vegetable tanned leather which won`t hold moisture and does not contain any harmful chemicals. Therefor, the knives will be protected from corrosion or damage. Overtime, the leather will stretch to fit any knife. With this knife slip, you can either squeeze or push to have the knife ready for use!
Using an exclusive blend of waxes, oils and tallows, the leather company hot stuff these leathers to bring out their inherent beauty. Through a traditional process called jack glazing, oils are brought to the surface to create a glossy finish that never mask the leather’s natural grain. As a result, Traditional Harness leather is ideal for equestrian gear, yet, when split to a lower weight, it’s equally suitable for leather goods.
Received my slip very quickly and the quality is really good. My C. Risner/GEC Indian Head Slip Joint fits perfectly inside with a snug fit. Hopefully it will loosen up a bit with wear & break in, so the knife slips out easier, but i still love the look & quality of the product. Exactly what i was looking for. Thank you!
Amazing small and perfect for your wee knives
I have some smaller pocket knives I don’t want swallowed up by my knife slips, which makes them hard to access, so I ordered a couple of extra small slips offered by TPK. They are a perfect size, just what I needed. I’m pleased they were put back in stock, I will be purchasing more sometime, so I hope they continue to be available. I waited for awhile for the extra small slip to come back in stock as it looked like a good fit for a GEC Northfield I ordered from TPK. I'm glad I did as the slip is well made and a perfect fit. Strong retention, which I am sure will moderate a little with age and use and feels great.
