RoseCraft Blades Overall Creek Farm Hand Black Sandalwood (RCT022-BSW)

Surpassed my expectations. A lighter, glassy pull and extremely solid. The handle is noticeably longer than a sodbuster providing more comfort and relaxed grips. Overall outstanding!

The knife itself is great; excellent walk and talk, perfect fit and finish, a fine grind, and a keen edge. But the real star here is the amazing black sandalwood handle scales. They look almost like black ivory at first glance until you notice all the lighter hues of brown and just a touch of gray peeking through. This thing is truly a joy to hold in the hand and to use. If you're looking for an heirloom quality slipjoint that you're going to carry and honest to God use, this is the RoseCraft pattern to pick.

I base most of my buys on looks and this looked too plain but an influencer showed how well it fits the hand and that it’s a most useful shape. Upon receiving the Yellow Sandalwood I immediately realized this was a fantastic working knife that a farmer would actually carry and use daily. That knowledge and the beautiful execution of the Farm Hand etching gave me a new understanding of function being a beautiful thing in itself. So I ordered the Black and have the pair!
